GLOBAL Expertise
I take great pride in my high level of cultural competency, which I have acquired through spending seven years living and working abroad. I am passionate to leverage this global expertise to bring cross-cultural impact in my work.
I have extensively lived and worked In:
USA (Silicon Valley, Midwest, Washington DC): Since returning to the US in 2017, I‘ve primarily researched the user experience for B2B software - mostly for improving emergency management workflows.
Australia: 1.5 years guiding local Australian governments about what type of investments (software and technology or aviation infrastructure) would generate the most value and community resilience.
Thailand: 7 months researching the value of low-cost carriers and aviation infrastructure to regional Thai communities.
Japan: 2 years researching the impact of airports on local Japanese communities and emergency management workflows following the 3/11 Tsunami.
Netherlands: 6 months developing engine testbeds to provide an Amsterdam based biofuel company in-house emission testing systems.
Germany: 2 years in Munich, Germany in drivetrain development at BMW and as an exchange student.
I have also led projects in:
Sweden: Led partnerships with Lund University to improve technology integration into global emergency management workflows. Partnered with Linköping University to develop and emergency management communications system.
China: Led a cost-benefit analysis with China’s state-owned aerospace manufacturer to develop policy recommendations about aviation infrastructure expansion into remote regions.
Indonesia: Led field visits and ethnographic studies to capture emergency management systems and workflows at the base of an active volcano.
